The group
CREATIVEDx, Teaching and Learning Innovation Group of the University of Extremadura
Overview
CREATIVEDx is a Teaching Innovation Group at the University of Extremadura devoted to active learning and educational innovation in Higher Education. Its lines of work cover the flipped classroom, gamification, digital transformation and artificial intelligence applied to university teaching.
Establishment and track record
The group was established in 2019 under the Teaching Innovation Groups call of the Teaching Guidance and Training Service (SOFD) of the University of Extremadura, consolidating a track record of teaching innovation projects that starts in 2012. Since its establishment it has coordinated competitively funded teaching innovation projects without interruption and applies to the annual calls for grants to Teaching Innovation Groups.
Its activity is organized in three mutually reinforcing strands: teaching innovation projects, a steady cycle of workshops and webinars open to the university community with academic, institutional and professional speakers, and derived scientific output published by international publishers and journals. Projects prior to 2019 belong to the track record of its members.
Coordination
Luis R. Murillo-Zamorano, Full Professor of Economics at the University of Extremadura, has coordinated the group since its establishment, with coordination certified by the SOFD every academic year since 2019-2020.
Members
The current team is made up of 7 members from 6 faculties and schools of the University of Extremadura, on the Badajoz and Cáceres campuses. Individual profiles are in the team subfolder.
